With two 18-hole championship courses the Golf Club of Zell am See is the biggest of the Alps, and is waiting for you this season.Flawless greens, perfectly primed fairways, and an unparalleled lake ambiance: both of the 18-hole championship courses of our Golf Club will captivate you with their one-of-a-kind picturesque scenery. This blend of unspoiled nature and optimally constructed golf courses is appreciated by professional players and inexperienced beginners alike. When are you going to unpack the driver? The 'Schmittenhöhe' and 'Kitzsteinhorn' courses, named for the local mountains of the region, make up the largest golf resort of the Austrian Alps. During the season, athletes from all over the world improve their handicaps here and show that they have what it takes during the tournaments. Among the bunkers and lakes of the two championship courses even the crème de la crème of international golf has handled their clubs. Come and see for yourself this mixture of sporting challenges and a varied landscape! World-class sportsmen like Greg Norman or Steve Ballesteros have all been enthusiastic about this green ambience with its lakes and biotopes. Since 1993 Bernhard Langer from Germany has been holding the course record on Schmittenhöhe with 66 shots. On this course (Par 72, SSS 72), men play over a distance of 6,218 metres, ladies have 750 metres less to master. At Kitzsteinhorn (Par 73, SSS 72), it is a question of moving the ball across 6.146 metres, for the ladies it's 5,421 metres, and doing that with the least possible number of strokes, of course!
